New program participants are accepted based on availability, applicant readiness, and the current capacity of the RareInc Program team to support new incubatees. When needed, we maintain a waiting list.

RareInc welcomes applications from organizations and founders based both within and outside the United States.

RareRising is dedicated to serving the global rare disease community, and we are humbled by the commitment of organizations and leaders working to improve the lives of those affected by rare and chronic conditions. Our goal is for RareInc to be a meaningful and valuable resource for your organization. If RareInc is not the right fit or is unable to assist at this time, we will do our best to offer alternative suggestions or resources when possible.

As a RareInc program applicant, I understand and align with the following: (all must be selected) *

Participating organizations share RareRising’s commitment to serving rare and chronic disease communities and advancing health equity.
Applicants led by individuals from underrepresented communities globally, or those serving rare populations with a high prevalence of underserved members, are considered priority applicants.
The RareInc program framework is intentionally designed to be flexible and customized to each participating organization’s needs.
RareInc works with organizations across time zones and regions. We strive to create accessible, respectful communication for all participants.
RareInc functions as a collaborative partnership. Mutual respect, trust, and confidentiality are expected and upheld by all parties.
Participant organizations are assigned a primary mentor who serves as a consistent point of contact, with additional team members offering guidance as needed.
While we may not have every answer, RareInc is committed to helping you clarify your questions and identify pathways and resources to achieve your goals.
Occasionally, micro-grant opportunities may be available depending on program funding. These opportunities are not guaranteed and are not a required component of program participation.

What happens after I submit my application?

After you submit your application, our team takes time to thoughtfully review it. Applications are reviewed by the RareInc Program Committee, and while mentors are not part of the committee, we may consult with them when helpful to better understand your organization’s goals or support needs. Reviews take place at least monthly, and we’ll be in touch as soon as a decision is made.
